This well-established specialist provision caters for pupils aged 3–19 with complex special educational needs. Every pupil has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and benefits from a highly personalised learning experience.
The school supports a wide range of needs, including:
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), alongside conditions such as ADHD
- Sensory and physical impairments
Pupils are taught in small classes with high levels of staff support, enabling a truly individualised approach to learning and development.

The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
- Deliver creative, engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to a diverse range of complex needs
- Develop and implement individualised learning plans aligned to EHCP outcomes
- Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff and families to ensure holistic pupil progress
- Foster pupils’ communication, independence and social development
- Play a key role in maintaining the school’s high standards of care and achievement
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)
- Experience working with SEN pupils, particularly those with complex learning difficulties
- A strong understanding of strategies such as PECS, Makaton, or total communication approaches (desirable)
- A patient, resilient and compassionate approach
- A commitment to inclusive education and pupil-centred learning
