We are seeking a confident SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive secondary school, specifically within our Autism Resource Base. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to support students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), helping them develop independence and achieve their academic potential.
Day-to-day of the role:
Support students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in classroom settings.
Adapt classroom materials and methods to meet individual learning needs.
Assist students in managing routines, transitions, and sensory needs effectively.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation among students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience working with ASD or managing challenging behaviour.
Strong behaviour management skills.
Resilient, calm, and adaptable nature, capable of handling dynamic classroom environments.
A passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
Desirable:
Team Teach or similar behaviour management training.
Previous experience in a school-based setting.
