We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive school team. This full-time role is ideal for someone passionate about helping pupils with a range of additional needs, enabling them to access learning and thrive both academically and socially.
Day-to-day of the role:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language needs.
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities that cater to individual needs.
Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies to support students' learning and development.
Support students in developing communication, social, and emotional skills.
Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and parents.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is preferred.
Patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively.
Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant are desirable but not essential.
