Join the team at an excellent Academy in Chobham as a SEN Learning Support Assistant, starting in September. This role is crucial in providing classroom support and pastoral care, helping to create a nurturing and effective learning environment for students with special educational needs.
Day-to-day of the role:
Provide tailored support to students with a range of SEN in a classroom setting.
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioural plans.
Work closely with teachers to adapt materials and lessons to meet the needs of SEN students.
Monitor and support the progress and well-being of students throughout the school day.
Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents to ensure effective collaboration and support.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs.
Strong understanding of the challenges faced by SEN students in a learning environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
A patient, caring, and professional demeanour.
