About the Role

We are seeking to appoint a caring and motivated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive and inclusive school in the Redhill area. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils, supporting their learning, development, and wellbeing in a classroom setting.

The successful candidate will work alongside teaching staff to help ensure all pupils are able to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
  • Support pupils with additional needs, including SEND where required
  • Encourage participation and engagement in learning activities
  • Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Support behaviour management in line with school policies

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Experience working with children in a school or similar setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, caring, and supportive approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND
  • Knowledge of the UK education system
