This role is ideal for someone passionate about creating a nurturing and stable environment for children and young people, ensuring they feel safe, cared for, and able to thrive. As a Registered Manager, you will be instrumental in the day-to-day operations of the home and in developing a reflective, supportive staff team focused on safeguarding and positive outcomes.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead the overall management and daily operations of the children's home.
  • Create and maintain a warm, nurturing environment where children and young people can thrive.
  • Develop and support a team that prioritises relationships, safeguarding, and positive outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a network of Registered Managers, Deputies, and residential staff to enhance the quality of children’s homes across Stockport.
  • Engage in strategic planning and implementation to continuously improve service quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or Senior Residential Worker, ready to step into a managerial role.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a focus on warmth, resilience, and creativity in residential childcare.
  • Deep understanding of the importance of relationships, stability, and trauma-informed care.
  • Emotional intelligence and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and partner agencies.

Children Support Worker

Job Description Sanctuary Support Worker Hours: 30 hours including unsocial hours, weekends & public holidays. Salary: £26,298.11 pro rata plus allowance for unsocial hours. Facilitate practical interventions such as meals, beverages, washing facilities, emergency clothing etc. Identify appropriate services and resources based on the individual’s presenting needs and make appropriate referrals and/or signposting. Encourage and support clients to access appropriate services and resources as required. Ensure all individuals accessing the Sanctuary are assisted in line with the Recovery Plan. Provide an out of hours, non-accommodation-based service offering support between the hours of 18:00 to 02:00, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. Support the needs of adults (aged over 17 years and 9 months) who are in, at risk of, or at the point of a social/emotional crisis within the Swansea Bay University Health Board area. Enable individuals to self-manage and find their own solutions to their own crisis in a non-judgemental, empathetic, and respectful way. Provide somewhere to turn to for people (and those connected to them) experiencing social/emotional crisis, anxiety, panic attacks, depression and/or suicidal thoughts.
