Process Engineer - Machine Shop

- Salary: £40,000 DOE
We are looking for a Process Engineer to enhance our Machine Shop operations. This role is suited for an individual with extensive experience in a machine shop environment, particularly with milling and turning processes.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Evaluate and improve on processes in manufacturing systems.
- Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers.
- Develop innovative solutions to improve production efficiency and reduce waste.
- Conduct process analysis and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Work with equipment designers and manufacturing officers to develop a cost-effective and working production process.
- Ensure all steps of production run smoothly and efficiently.
- Follow industry standards and safety regulations for machining.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Process Engineer in a machine shop environment.
- Expert knowledge of milling and turning processes.
- Strong understanding of machining and mechanical processes.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software.
- Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
