German Speaking Payroll Specialist (Fully Remote)

 Salary: £40,000 – £60,000
Location: UK based - fully remote 
Language Requirement: Fluent German (Essential)

The Opportunity

German-speaking Payroll Specialist required to join a growing team in a fully remote capacity. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across global payroll operations and transformation projects within Shared Services and Global Business Services environments.

If you have strong payroll expertise combined with experience in process improvement, transformation, or project delivery, this role offers genuine variety, impact, and career progression.

What You’ll Be Doing

Payroll Operations & Compliance

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processes ensuring accuracy and compliance with local legislation
  • Partner with HR and Finance to maintain payroll data integrity
  • Resolve payroll queries and discrepancies efficiently

Payroll Transformation & Projects

  • Support payroll transformation initiatives across Shared Services
  • Contribute to process redesign, automation, and continuous improvement
  • Play a key role in system implementations, upgrades, and migrations

Project & Programme Support

  • Assist with project governance, tracking, and reporting
  • Support key phases including feasibility, design, and implementation

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external providers
  • Communicate updates, improvements, and changes clearly across the business

What We’re Looking For

Fluent German – essential
✅ Proven experience in payroll operations (Shared Services, GBS, or outsourced environments preferred)
✅ Strong understanding of payroll systems, compliance, and reporting
✅ Experience in payroll transformation or transition projects
✅ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
✅ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
✅ Confident stakeholder communication skills
