An excellent opportunity has arisen for a part qualified accountant to join a high performing finance team within a global professional services organisation, based in Manchester city centre with hybrid working.
This role is ideal for someone who is actively progressing with ACCA or CIMA, has proven UK accounting experience, and is keen to continue building strong technical expertise in an international, collaborative environment.
The Role
You’ll be part of an established shared service finance function, supporting entities across Europe and the Middle East. Working closely with a Financial Accountant and the wider finance team, you’ll gain hands‑on exposure across month‑end close, balance sheet ownership, statutory reporting, and compliance.
This is a broad, technically strong role offering genuine development, visibility, and the opportunity to work closely with external advisors, auditors, and tax specialists.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the month‑end close under GAAP, including preparation and posting of journals
Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies promptly
Producing fee reconciliations and supporting intercompany accounting, invoicing, and settlement
Assisting with local statutory accounts, audits, and compliance obligations
Preparing monthly data packs for external accountants and reviewing local GAAP vs management accounts
Supporting VAT and other fiscal returns, ensuring accurate and timely submission
Liaising with Accounts Payable, Billing, Treasury, Tax teams, and external advisors
Assisting with financial statements, ad‑hoc projects, and continuous improvement initiatives
Operating within a robust control environment, working comfortably with large, detail‑driven data sets
About You
Part‑qualified ACCA or CIMA, actively studying and progressing
3–5 years’ proven UK-based experience in an accounting or finance role
Experience supporting month‑end, balance sheet reconciliations, and statutory reporting
Exposure to VAT preparation and submission
Experience working within an international or multi‑entity business, including FX exposure
Strong Excel skills and experience using global ERP systems
Highly organised, deadline‑driven, and detail‑focused
A collaborative team player with strong communication skills and a positive, can‑do attitude
Must have full right to work in the UK in a permanent role – visa sponsorship is not available for this role
