The Role

As a Helpdesk Operator, you’ll be the central point of contact for clients, contractors, and engineers—ensuring all requests are handled efficiently and professionally.

This is a busy and varied position, ideal for someone who thrives under pressure and enjoys problem-solving in real time. Due to the location, a driving licence is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling inbound and outbound calls in a professional and courteous manner
  • Logging service requests accurately onto the helpdesk system
  • Coordinating engineers, contractors, and suppliers to schedule works
  • Monitoring job progress and providing timely client updates
  • Resolving queries quickly and effectively
  • Maintaining accurate records of all communications and actions

Skills & Experience

  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and helpdesk systems
  • Previous helpdesk or customer service experience (preferred)
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset

Working Hours

  • Friday: 15:00 – 20:00 (then on-call)
  • Saturday: 08:00 – 16:00 (then on-call)
  • Sunday: 08:00 – 16:00 (then on-call)
  • Monday: 07:00 – 12:00

Total: 26 hours per week + on-call responsibilities
