We are currently recruiting two experienced Occupational Therapists to join a busy and dynamic Community Occupational Therapy and Moving & Handling Service. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a large, supportive multidisciplinary team delivering impactful work within Adult Social Care.
The Role
In this role, you will manage a varied caseload and contribute to a fast-paced service, supporting individuals to live safely and independently within the community.
Key Responsibilities
Manage your own caseload within an Adult Social Care setting
Participate in duty work as part of the wider team
Deliver specialist assessments and interventions, including equipment provision and housing adaptations
Complete moving and handling assessments and provide appropriate recommendations
Work collaboratively with colleagues, service users, and carers to deliver person-centred outcomes
Requirements
Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration
Proven experience in Community Occupational Therapy
Strong knowledge of equipment provision and housing adaptations
Confident in moving and handling assessments and best practice
Good understanding of the Care Act and its application within Adult Social Care
Experience supporting adults with physical disabilities and frailty
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
