A long-established and highly respected manufacturing business is seeking an experienced UK Sales Manager to lead and develop sales through a well-established network of packaging distribution partners across the UK, Ireland, and selected European markets.

Taking responsibility for an established territory and long-standing customer relationships, you will play a key role in driving future growth while building on an already successful foundation.

The Role

As UK Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing sales through packaging distributors, strengthening existing partnerships, and identifying new growth opportunities across your territory.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Growing sales through packaging distributors across the UK, Ireland, and selected European markets.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with distributor owners, purchasing teams, sales personnel, and product managers.
  • Supporting customers with product trials, technical demonstrations, training, and issue resolution.
  • Identifying and onboarding new distribution partners to expand market coverage.
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activity.
  • Delivering agreed revenue, volume, and margin objectives.
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer support and service.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A proven track record of selling through distributor channels within the packaging sector - THIS IS A MUST!!
  • Experience with packaging consumables, industrial products, or related manufacturing solutions.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to develop strategic customer relationships and manage a large geographic territory effectively.
  • A hands-on approach and confidence in supporting technical product discussions and demonstrations.
  • A self-motivated, proactive style with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Ideally, be based within South East England to provide effective access to key customer regions.

Additional language skills such as French, German, Dutch, or Spanish would be advantageous due to the international scope of the territory.
