We are seeking a passionate and driven Maths Lecturer to join our high-performing 16–18 curriculum team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver engaging, inclusive teaching across a broad ability range—from Entry Level 3 through to GCSE.
As part of a successful and forward-thinking department, you will work closely with the management team to support the continued growth and quality improvement of our Maths provision, ensuring consistently strong outcomes for all learners.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons tailored to students of varying abilities.
Support learners from diverse backgrounds in achieving their academic, career, and personal goals.
Collaborate with curriculum leaders to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Contribute to a culture of high expectations and student success.
Represent the Maths department at marketing and recruitment events with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with college standards.
About the Role
This is a permanent position with flexibility for full-time or part-time working. The role is described as “variable” due to the breadth of provision across multiple college sites, offering opportunities to work within a dynamic and expanding team.
Maths delivery is supported through Pearson frameworks, and the department has a strong track record of success—most notably winning the National Maths Competition this year, outperforming over 160 colleges.
Requirements
A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
Experience teaching in Further Education and/or relevant industry experience.
A recognised teaching qualification for the FE sector.
Minimum Level 2 literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
