Learning Support Assistants, SEN Teaching Assistants & HLTAs

Location: Croydon
Pay: Competitive rates, depending on experience

We are looking for dedicated and reliable Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), SEN Teaching Assistants, and Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work in a range of primary, secondary and specialist schools across Croydon.

These roles are ideal for candidates with experience supporting children and young people with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language Needs, Learning Difficulties, and Complex Needs.

The Role

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting with learning activities in and out of the classroom
• Helping pupils develop confidence, communication and independence
• Supporting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to meet individual learning needs
• Following EHCPs and behaviour support plans where required

HLTA Opportunities

For HLTA roles, responsibilities may also include:

• Delivering lessons and interventions
• Covering classes in the teacher's absence
• Supporting planning and assessment
• Leading small-group learning sessions

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children or young people
• SEN experience is highly desirable
• A patient, positive and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• HLTA qualification or relevant experience for HLTA positions
