Domestic & Student Experience Bursar (FTC – 6 Months)

The Opportunity

We are working with a well-established and prestigious education provider seeking an experienced Domestic & Student Experience Bursar to join them on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering high-quality support services that directly impact the student experience, ensuring a safe, well-managed, and welcoming environment across the site.

 

The Role

You will take ownership of the school’s domestic operations and lead a multi-disciplinary team to ensure services run efficiently and to a high standard.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Leading services such as cleaning, laundry, wardrobe, transport, and portering
  • Managing and developing a large operational team
  • Ensuring the school environment is safe, well-maintained, and student-focused
  • Working closely with senior leadership to deliver coordinated support across the organisation
  • Overseeing budgets, procurement, and cost control
  • Supporting the delivery of events and wider operational activities

 

Projects & Improvement

Alongside day-to-day operations, you will:

  • Lead service improvement and change projects
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Drive innovation across support services
  • Ensure improvements are effectively implemented and sustained

 

About You

We are looking for a confident and experienced operational leader who can hit the ground running.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in facilities, operations, or service delivery management
  • Strong people leadership and team management skills
  • Experience managing budgets and operational performance
  • Ability to deliver change and improvement initiatives
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A collaborative, hands-on approach

Experience within the education sector or complex multi-service environments would be highly advantageous.
