About the Role

My client is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Head of Marketing to lead and develop their group-wide marketing strategy.

Reporting to the Group Managing Director, you will take ownership of marketing across multiple operating companies, ensuring activity aligns with both individual business objectives and the wider Group strategy. You will build and lead a high-performing marketing function, driving collaboration, innovation and measurable commercial impact across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the Group's overall marketing strategy.
  • Lead, mentor and support Marketing Managers across the business.
  • Partner with senior leadership teams to create and execute effective marketing plans.
  • Establish clear KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure performance and ROI.
  • Drive continuous improvement across marketing processes, systems and technology.
  • Oversee digital marketing activity, including SEO, PPC, content, social media, email marketing and marketing automation.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and collaboration between Group businesses.
  • Provide strategic marketing advice to senior stakeholders and support long-term business growth.

About You

They're looking for a strategic marketing leader with:

  • Proven experience in a senior B2B marketing role.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
  • Experience working within complex or multi-business organisations.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and a track record of delivering measurable results.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, performance analytics and marketing technology.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
  • A data-driven approach combined with innovative thinking and a passion for continuous improvement.

Desirable

  • Degree in Marketing, Business or Communications.
  • CIM qualification and/or Chartered status.
  • Experience within construction, engineering, building services, property or a related sector.
