An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Community & Events Fundraising Manager to join a well-established national charity based in West London.

Reporting directly to the Head of Fundraising, you will lead and develop a portfolio of community and challenge events, driving supporter engagement and generating sustainable fundraising income. This is a hands-on role that requires strong project management skills, exceptional supporter stewardship, and proven success delivering large-scale fundraising initiatives.

About the Role

You will take ownership of a diverse events portfolio, including flagship fundraising campaigns, challenge events, and community fundraising activities. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will oversee the planning, delivery and evaluation of events while ensuring income targets are achieved and supporter experiences remain exceptional.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and delivering a portfolio of flagship fundraising events and challenge activities.
  • Leading end-to-end event planning, logistics, budgeting, recruitment and stewardship.
  • Developing and implementing fundraising campaigns to drive participation and income growth.
  • Managing relationships with third-party event providers and external stakeholders.
  • Creating outstanding supporter journeys from initial enquiry through to post-event stewardship.
  • Monitoring fundraising performance, evaluating outcomes and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Working collaboratively with marketing, communications and digital teams to maximise event promotion and supporter engagement.
  • Supporting wider community fundraising initiatives and helping to develop new fundraising opportunities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Significant experience working within the charity sector.
  • Proven experience in community and events fundraising.
  • A strong track record of successfully managing flagship fundraising events and large-scale challenge events.
  • Experience delivering income targets and achieving fundraising growth.
  • Excellent project management skills, including budget management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience recruiting, engaging and stewarding fundraisers and supporters.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using CRM/supporter databases such as Salesforce, Raiser's Edge or similar.

If you are an experienced Events Fundraiser with a strong background in charity fundraising and flagship event delivery, we'd love to hear from you.
