Business Development Manager - Construction Sector Location: South East London / Kent (Office in Orpington) Job Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm (Monday to Friday)- 9am-5pm Salary: £21- £23p/h We are seeking a driven and commercially focused Business Development Manager to expand our presence in the construction sector. Day-to-day of the role: Develop and manage relationships with construction employers, ranging from SMEs to larger contractors. Collaborate closely with internal delivery teams to ensure a high-quality employer experience. Manage a pipeline of opportunities, tracking progress and conversion rates. Represent the organisation at industry events, networking groups, and employer forums. Contribute to sector growth strategies and employer engagement plans. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in business development, sales, or employer engagement within the construction sector. Strong knowledge of the construction industry, including trades, contractors, and supply chains. Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding targets. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to identify employer needs and translate them into effective solutions. Self-motivated, organised, and results-driven. Desirable: Experience working within apprenticeships, training, or further education. Existing network within construction employers. Understanding of funding or workforce development initiatives.
