Reed Finance are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturing organisation to recruit a Financial Controller.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to take ownership of a regional finance function within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Reporting directly to the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a key role in driving financial performance, strengthening controls, enhancing reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business. Leading a finance team, you will ensure the delivery of accurate financial information while contributing to the continued growth and success of the organisation.
Duties Include:
- Contributing to the development and execution of business strategy from a financial perspective.
- Managing the day-to-day performance of the finance department and leading the finance team.
- Developing and documenting financial processes, accounting policies, and internal controls to ensure compliance and best practice.
- Ensuring compliance with the latest accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Producing accurate and timely weekly and monthly financial reporting for senior leadership and the Board.
- Providing meaningful financial analysis and insight to support business performance and decision-making.
- Supporting the preparation of rolling forecasts, budgets, and financial plans.
- Coordinating budget submissions and preparing budget deliverables.
- Driving improvements in working capital management and short-term cash flow forecasting.
- Working closely with IT to optimise financial systems, improve efficiencies, and minimise risk.
- Supporting the implementation of corrective actions to improve business performance.
- Recruiting, developing, coaching, and motivating finance team members to achieve continual improvement.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Previous experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership position.
- Experience gained within a fast-paced operational Manufacturing Sector environment.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, controls, compliance, and statutory requirements.
- Proven people management and leadership experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong systems knowledge and proficiency with accounting software.
- Commercially minded with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.

Salary & Benefits:
- Salary of £75,000pa to £80,000pa plus bonus Car allowance
