Finance Analyst (12–18 Month FTC)
Location: Southampton (with weekly travel)
Salary: Competitive (Grade 4/5)

We’re supporting a global, market-leading organisation in their search for a Finance Analyst to join their UK finance team on a 12–18 month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially-minded analyst who enjoys partnering with stakeholders and influencing business performance.

The Role
Based in a central finance team, you’ll support operational teams by delivering insightful financial analysis, shaping decision-making, and driving improvements across financial processes. This role offers strong exposure to commercial finance within a dynamic sales and service environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making
  • Partner with managers on reporting, pricing, payment plans, and commercial terms
  • Support and coordinate the annual planning and budgeting process
  • Assist with ad hoc finance tasks including investment proposals and reporting
  • Maintain cost centre structures and ensure data accuracy across accounts
  • Support statutory reporting, tax submissions, and year-end processes
  • Improve and develop financial processes and reporting tools
  • Act as a key contact for finance-related queries across stakeholders
  • Support SAP finance processes and data consistency
  • Contribute to additional areas such as fleet and duty-related analysis

About You

  • Experience in a finance analyst or similar role within a commercial environment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to present clear, actionable insights
  • Experience with SAP and ideally Power BI (or similar BI tools)
  • Confident working with financial data and reporting
  • Ability to influence and challenge stakeholders constructively
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Willing to travel weekly to support stakeholders
