Electrical Supervisor

Full Time | Permanent | Monday to Friday | 37.5 Hours per Week Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + Bonus (Negotiable)

About the Opportunity

Our client is a leading manufacturing business operating within a highly regulated process industry environment. Due to continued investment and growth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join their maintenance leadership team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on electrical professional with supervisory experience who enjoys leading teams, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational performance.

The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of electrical technicians, apprentices and contractors, ensuring all maintenance activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supervising electrical maintenance personnel and contractors.
  • Promoting a strong health, safety, and compliance culture across site.
  • Planning and coordinating preventative, reactive, and shutdown maintenance activities.
  • Managing maintenance schedules and ensuring work orders are completed effectively through the site's CMMS.
  • Conducting regular site inspections and ensuring accurate maintenance documentation.
  • Supporting employee development through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Monitoring contractor activities to ensure compliance with site standards and procedures.
  • Analysing downtime data and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Attending operational meetings and communicating maintenance performance updates.
  • Providing hands-on technical support and fault-finding expertise when required.
  • Ensuring risk assessments and safe systems of work are current and adhered to at all times.

Skills & Experience

Applicants should possess:

  • HNC/HND qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a manufacturing, process, FMCG, utilities, paper, chemical, or similar industrial environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience planning and managing maintenance activities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems and industrial automation.
  • High Voltage switching experience up to 11kV.
  • Experience with variable speed drives (VSDs).
  • Competency using AutoCAD or similar engineering software.
  • A passion for safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
