Early Years Teacher (Permanent) – Reception

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Chatham on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for an experienced Reception Teacher, with the potential for Early Years Lead responsibilities for the right candidate.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to delivering high-quality early years education and creating a nurturing, engaging environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the EYFS framework
  • Foster a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, ensuring all children reach their potential
  • Support and guide support staff within the classroom
  • Contribute to the development of the Early Years provision (including leadership responsibilities if applicable)
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Previous experience teaching in Reception / Early Years
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (desirable)
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Experience or interest in Early Years leadership (highly desirable)
