Maintenance Technician Location: Aylesford, Kent Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Shift Pattern: Rotating / Site-based We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team in a busy manufacturing/production environment. This role is crucial for maintaining, repairing, and improving both production and facility equipment, ensuring compliance with current legislation, health & safety standards, and site maintenance systems. You will play a key role in enhancing equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting production operations. Day-to-day of the role: Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine equipment checks. Diagnose faults and respond promptly to site breakdowns. Perform reactive and proactive maintenance to minimise downtime. Support production teams to meet operational demands. Complete weekly site inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records. Carry out equipment installations and modifications in line with current regulations. Ensure compliance with food hygiene and food safety standards at all times. Liaise with contractors and chaperone visitors when required. Maintain high standards of housekeeping across work areas and workshops. Monitor spare parts stock levels and report requirements.
