Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, operating, and programming CNC lathes to produce precision components to tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate CNC turning machines (Fanuc or similar controls)
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Program CNC machines using G-code or conversational programming
  • Perform quality checks using micrometers, verniers, and gauges
  • Maintain machinery and adhere to safe working practices
  • Work to production schedules and meet deadlines
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CNC Turner in a precision engineering environment
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Strong knowledge of machining principles and tooling
  • Experience with Fanuc or similar CNC controls
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification (preferred)
