Reed Business Support are excited to be supporting a long-standing client in their search for Business Development Manager based in Newport. This is a fantastic opportunity for a results-focused professional to play a key role in driving business growth, expanding market presence, and building lasting client relationships.

What you'll be doing:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and target markets
  • Build, manage, and grow strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans aligned with company objectives
  • Generate leads through networking, client meetings, and industry engagement
  • Represent the business at events, trade shows, and conferences
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align customer needs with business goals
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and monitor industry trends
  • Track sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management

What you'll need:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a senior business development or sales role
  • Strong background in client relationship management
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel (including international travel at short notice)
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to anticipate market trends
