Reed Business Support are excited to be supporting a long-standing client in their search for Business Development Manager based in Newport. This is a fantastic opportunity for a results-focused professional to play a key role in driving business growth, expanding market presence, and building lasting client relationships.
What you'll be doing:
Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and target markets
Build, manage, and grow strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
Develop and implement strategic business development plans aligned with company objectives
Generate leads through networking, client meetings, and industry engagement
Represent the business at events, trade shows, and conferences
Collaborate with internal teams to align customer needs with business goals
Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and monitor industry trends
Track sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management
What you'll need:
Degree (or equivalent) in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field
Proven experience in a senior business development or sales role
Strong background in client relationship management
Full driving licence and willingness to travel (including international travel at short notice)
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to anticipate market trends
