They are seeking a Conference & Banqueting Manager to oversee the planning, organisation, and execution of conferences, banquets, and a wide range of events. This role is key to maintaining and enhancing the reputation of their venues by ensuring exceptional service delivery and creating memorable guest experiences.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
Event Planning & Coordination: Oversee the entire process of event planning from conception to execution, ensuring alignment with client specifications and high standards of delivery.
Team Leadership & Management: Lead and mentor the conference and banqueting team, promoting an environment of excellence and continuous improvement.
Guest Relations & Service Excellence: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
Operational Oversight & Budget Management: Manage all operational aspects of events, including budget adherence and logistical arrangements.
Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure all events comply with relevant health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in conference and banqueting management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and motivating teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams and clients.
Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
Knowledge of budget management, event logistics, catering operations, and audio-visual requirements.
Familiarity with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
