Assembly Technician

£12.98 per hour | Leatherhead | On-site | 2-Month Assignment

We are currently seeking an Assembly Technician to join a busy production team based in Leatherhead on a 2-month contract. This is a hands-on role working 5 days per week on-site, supporting the build and movement of refrigeration units within a fast-paced environment.

Role Overview

  • Location: Leatherhead, Surrey
  • Pay Rate: £12.98 per hour
  • Contract: 2-month temporary assignment
  • Working Pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday (on-site)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the assembly of transport refrigeration units
  • Transport and move refrigeration units safely around the production area
  • Support general workshop and production activities as required
  • Follow assembly instructions and adhere to health & safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organised working environment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year’s hands-on experience within industries such as automotive, motorsport, aerospace, prototype build, or commercial vehicles
  • Strong practical skills and a proactive approach to work
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
  • Good awareness of health & safety in a workshop or production setting
  • Forklift license desired

Production Technician

What You’ll Be Doing Solder through-hole components to IPC-A-610 Class 3 standard, ensuring high-quality output. Identify and correctly handle electronic components including resistors, capacitors, and Ics. Operate selective soldering and Mascot insertion machines, ensuring optimal performance and output. Create, edit, and maintain machine programs for both new and existing PCB assemblies. Carry out PCB rework to required company standards, including fault finding and correction.
