We are currently recruiting for a part-time Accounts Assistant to support a busy NHS triage service with a large patient database. This is a temporary ongoing position, ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and previous experience in a fast-paced finance environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting day-to-day finance operations within the organisation
Processing purchase orders and maintaining accurate records
Recording sales transactions and updating financial systems
Carrying out account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
Chasing outstanding payments in a professional and timely manner
Managing a shared NHS email inbox, responding to queries and patient-related financial requests
Matching invoices and resolving any discrepancies
Assisting with general finance administration as required
Skills & Experience Required
AAT Level 2 qualification (essential)
Previous experience in an accounts or finance assistant role
Working knowledge of Xero accounting software
Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively
Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience working within healthcare or NHS settings (desirable but not essential)
