Location: Godstone, Surrey (own transport required due to remote location)
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday (8:30am–5:00pm, 30-minute lunch)- 100% office based
Contract: Temp to Perm
Start Date: 1st July 2026 (ideally)
Systems Used: Sage 50 Accounts Professional v32, Syrinx v4, Microsoft Excel, Sage 50 Payroll
Salary: £35,000- £50,000 (DOE)
Join a fast-paced and growing SME who are specialist in equipment hire with a turnover of c.£10m. We are seeking an ambitious and hands-on accountant to support the next stage of our growth. This is an initial one-month full-time assignment with strong potential to become a longer-term or permanent opportunity for the right person, following a recent restructure.
Day-to-day of the role:
Prepare, review, and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
Create and manage reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Update and maintain the fixed asset register.
Support with management accounts and statutory accounts.
Assist with payroll processes using Sage 50 Payroll.
Provide ad hoc finance support as required.
Occasionally assist with incoming calls during busy periods.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Finalist or qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
Strong reconciliations experience with the ability to work independently.
Proactive, adaptable, and happy to “roll up your sleeves”.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Able to hit the ground running in a fast-moving SME environment.
Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts Professional v32, Syrinx v4, and Microsoft Excel.
