We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a well-established lettings agency in Durham. This role is perfect for a finance professional with strong expertise in Sage Line 50, looking to become part of a supportive and growing team.
Day-to-day of the role:
Data entry using Sage Line 50 Accounts.
Reconciling bank, cash, and credit card accounts.
Maintaining debtor and creditor ledgers.
Preparing, submitting, and reconciling VAT returns.
Posting journals including prepayments and accruals.
Full trial balance reconciliation at year end.
Ensuring compliance with Companies House and HMRC deadlines.
Posting invoices raised and rental income received.
Reconciling client deposits received and repaid.
Chasing rental arrears where required.
Supporting with general office administration and client liaison.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years’ accounting experience.
Minimum 5 years’ Sage Line 50 experience.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
