Level 7 Senior People Professional Apprenticeship

Our Senior People Professional apprenticeship is perfect if you want to become an in-house expert in people, work and change, driving organisational performance and effectiveness, and championing the people agenda to create cultures that get the best out of people.
This Level 7 apprenticeship is aimed at HR professionals with managerial experience looking to take their careers to the next level.
Typical responsibilities include:
Being an ambassador for your organisation
Building a wide-ranging networks, interacting with senior stakeholders
Leading the design, implementation and evaluation of people policies and practices
Leading people projects
Playing a key role in larger organisation-wide programmes
Keeping up to date with current and future trends, regulation and legislation
Seeking out, evaluating and utilising technology to deliver the people strategy
You can choose between three pathways: Human Resources, Organisational Development, and Learning and Development.
All apprentices completing the Level 7 programme can gain a CIPD Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management or Strategic Learning and Development along with Chartered Membership of the CIPD as a dual award with their apprenticeship.
You must have a Level 5 qualification in HR or a related subject, along with work experience at managerial level.
Apprentices without English or Maths at Level 2 must achieve this before taking the End Point Assessment.
What to expect during your apprenticeship
We address challenges associated with conventional HR and L&D approaches through workshops and enhance the learning journey by providing you with coaches and mentors who will guide you throughout the programme.
You can access your course materials on any device and at any time, giving you a seamless and flexible learning experience.
Throughout the programme you will be supported by an industry adviser and have access to our substantive Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). You’ll follow an individual learning plan and complete tasks and activities to support each component of your apprenticeship. Progress will be tracked through our ePortfolio system, OneFile.
We have included completion of the CIPD Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management or the CIPD Advanced Diploma in Strategic Learning and Development within our Level 7 apprenticeship – although this is not compulsory.
Your apprenticeship will involve a blend of learning, encompassing a combination of workshops and online meetings, along with supporting resources including webinars, engaging online videos, PDF resources and activities. Checklists and practice quizzes will allow you to integrate and retain what you have learned.

How long does the apprenticeship last?
The Senior People Professional Level 7 apprenticeship is an advanced apprenticeship, lasting approximately 33-36 months, with four months spent on End Point Assessment preparation.
How will I be assessed?
Your 20% off-the-job training will be assessed throughout the programme and will be based on the Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours (SKBs) you develop.
You’ll be required to compile a portfolio of evidence containing 15 discrete pieces of evidence related to the KSBs. You’ll also have quarterly progress reviews.
An End Point Assessment takes place once you have completed all the on-programme requirements of the apprenticeship and is an assessment of the Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours.
