  • Job Type: Full-time (45 hours per week, Monday -  Friday 07.00am  - 4.30pm or 8am to 5.30pm with a 1 hour unpaid break)

Join a leading supplier of bakery products and ingredients servicing customers throughout the United Kingdom. We are currently seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our team at our depot. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse, handling a variety of tasks from unloading/loading vehicles to maintaining stock accuracy and cleanliness.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Carry out duties as instructed by the shift supervisor, including picking and collating stock across Ambient, Freezer, and Chiller departments.
  • Manage goods inwards by checking and booking in stock correctly.
  • Ensure vehicle temperatures are checked before loading/unloading.
  • Operate mechanical handling equipment safely and competently.
  • Perform hygiene and maintenance duties as required across the site.
  • Support the effective and efficient running of the Warehouse and related areas.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous warehouse experience.
  • Ability to work in various temperature-controlled environments (Freezer, Chilled, Ambient).
  • Flexibility in handling various tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for the role.
  • Desirable qualifications include:
    • Counterbalance truck licence.
    • Reach Truck Licence.
    • Health & Safety training.
    • Experience with Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE).
    • Computer literacy (Word/Excel).
