Supply Chain Coordinator / Supply Planner
Location: Dorset (Hybrid working considered)
Salary: £33,000
A well-established and growing organisation is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain Coordinator to take ownership of supplier fulfilment activities within a fast-paced distribution environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong data and logistics experience to play a key role in ensuring efficient product flow from supplier through to warehouse.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end fulfilment process across a designated supplier base, ensuring that stock is delivered on time, in full, and in line with business expectations. Working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and 3PL partners, you will help maintain strong service levels while driving continuous improvements in supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of supplier fulfilment for your allocated category
Provide documentation and support for inbound purchase orders, including import clearance
Coordinate container shipments from suppliers to 3PL warehouse locations
Raise and manage purchase orders in line with demand and departmental targets
Monitor supplier acknowledgements, proactively resolving or escalating issues
Track and expedite orders to maintain high service levels
Forecast replenishment requirements based on historical data and business activity
Produce trend analysis and reports to support inventory planning decisions
Maintain accurate supplier and product data within internal systems
Manage manufacturing tolerances and ensure supply alignment
Support supplier payment processes in line with agreed terms
Record, investigate and resolve supplier non-conformances (NCRs)
Track supplier performance, including rebates and commercial metrics
Prepare reporting and insights for supplier reviews and negotiations
About You
Previous experience within supply chain, logistics, or warehouse distribution
Experience working with multiple suppliers and 3PL providers
Strong systems experience, ideally including ERP or warehouse management systems
Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and manipulate complex data sets
Highly detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
Confident communicator, comfortable working cross-functionally and with external partners
Able to prioritise workloads and work to tight deadlines
Proactive, disciplined, and structured in your approach
A genuine interest in product and supplier performance
