HR Officer opportunity working for a leading organisation based fully onsite at their office in Castleton, Hope Valley area on a part time permanent basis working 27 hours per week either over 3 or 4 days. To provide professional knowledge, expertise and competence across a range of HR disciplines keeping an up to date knowledge of relevant employment law. To provide a first class HR advisory and related support service to managers and employees to assist the delivery of the operational requirements of the company. To contribute to the delivery of company projects, HR policy initiatives and lead the HR Strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To recruit, select, appoint and manage the onboarding of new employees including liaison with management and supervisors, creating and updating all recruitment information, developing appropriate selection tools and issuing contracts of employment.
Provide advice and guidance on company HR policy and procedure to manager and staff.
To maintain, develop and update accurate personnel and attendance records including monitoring and evaluating sickness scheme documentation and records.
To provide HR statistics and information to management as required.
To administer employment contract changes.
To undertake training needs analysis in order to plan and organise training programmes.
To manage and update training plans, training records, and the company training needs analysis.
To liaise with managers and local schools and colleges to administer apprenticeship schemes and work experience schemes.
To manage and implement the company retirement and service recognition policy.
To attend to the welfare of staff including in-house counselling and welfare visits where appropriate.
To maintain communication with the recognised trade union.
To implement disciplinary and grievance procedures and advise management on disciplinary and grievance matters.
To implement sickness management and performance management procedures.
To monitor, update and develop HR policies in line with employment law and company requirements.
Be responsible for employee engagement and communications – eg. Surveys, newsletters, forums.
Code of Business Ethics.
Other ad hoc duties as required.
Full time equivalent salary is £40,000-£44,000 DOE 36 hours full-time hours pro rate to 27 hours per week.
