We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Teacher of Digital Literacy and IT to lead our IT Department and contribute to our innovative teaching methods.
Day-to-Day of the Role
Lead the IT Department, teaching advanced IT skills to classes of up to 16 students.
Have personal tutor responsibilities for one student group.
Prepare and update teaching materials such as Schemes of Work, folders for the term, and termly grade sheets.
Liaise with the Principal regarding timetables and staff availability.
Coordinate with the Network Manager regarding computers and peripherals.
Organize and participate in lesson observations and staff training programs.
Develop new material to reflect the changing use of IT in industry.
Maintain and update IT-related display material and noticeboards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
Excellent command of the English language.
Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and provide constructive feedback.
Experience in teaching IT/ICT is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided.
Interest in AI developments and curriculum development is advantageous.
