We are seeking a reliable and service-oriented IT Support Specialist to provide essential on-site technical support to staff and students. This role is crucial in maintaining the smooth operation of our IT systems, ensuring a stable and secure technology environment for teaching, learning, and administration.
Day-to-day of the role:
Provide first and second-line IT support to teaching staff, administrative staff, and students.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly.
Set up, configure, and maintain classroom technology, laptops, desktops, printers, and AV equipment.
Support Microsoft 365, email systems, and user account management (e.g., Active Directory).
Assist with new starter onboarding (account setup, device allocation) and leaver processes.
Manage and track IT assets and inventory.
Maintain IT documentation and user guides.
Ensure systems comply with security policies and safeguarding requirements.
Support basic network infrastructure, escalating complex issues where needed.
Provide in-person support across different departments within the school.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in an IT support or helpdesk role.
Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft 365.
Basic understanding of networking and troubleshooting.
Experience managing user accounts and permissions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in a school environment.
Ability to deliver in-person support in a fast-paced environment.
