We are currently partnering with a fast-paced and growing organisation to recruit a Supply Chain planner. This role will take ownership of the end-to-end fulfilment process across a designated supplier category, ensuring supplier data is accurately maintained and operational processes run smoothly across internal systems.
Key Responsibilities
Take full ownership of fulfilment activities for an assigned supplier category, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all processes
Provide key documentation and information to support inbound purchase orders, including:
Import clearance coordination
Management of manufacturing order tolerances
Supporting supplier payments in line with agreed terms
Plan, schedule and coordinate inbound container shipments with suppliers and 3PL warehouse partners
Forecast replenishment requirements for 3PL locations based on historical demand trends and upcoming business activity
Generate reporting and trend analysis to support inventory planning and operational decision-making
Raise and manage purchase orders in line with departmental targets and system-driven requirements
Ensure timely supplier acknowledgement of purchase orders, challenging discrepancies and escalating issues where required
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across business systems, communicating any changes to relevant stakeholders
Monitor purchase order progress and proactively expedite deliveries to maintain high service levels
Manage supplier non-conformance reports (NCRs), ensuring issues are recorded, investigated and resolved promptly
Track and report on supplier and product performance, including ensuring all applicable rebates are captured
Prepare data, insights and reports to support supplier reviews and commercial negotiations
Support wider team activities and undertake additional duties as required
Required Background & Experience
Previous experience within supply chain, logistics or warehouse/distribution environments
Experience working with multiple systems, ideally including warehouse management and ERP systems
Strong background in data management, reporting and analysis
Experience managing relationships with multiple suppliers and third-party logistics providers
Skills & Attributes
Strong analytical capability, with experience in forecasting and data-driven decision making
Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and manage complex data sets
Highly detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy across supply chain processes
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across suppliers and internal stakeholders
