Working Hours: 37 hours per week (10am-6pm Mon-Thurs, 10am-5:30pm Fri; hours may vary during school holidays)
We are seeking a dedicated Site Manager to oversee the security, safety, and maintenance of our academy site. This role is crucial in managing the site's plant and equipment, ensuring all environments are secure, clean, and fully operational. The Site Manager will also coordinate remedial or improvement work and oversee external cleaning staff.
Day-to-day of the role:
Act as a designated key holder, responsible for both routine and emergency site access, maintaining strict security protocols.
Ensure the academy's buildings and site are secure, including arranging emergency repairs and maintaining operational standards.
Manage premises staff, monitor work standards, and identify training needs.
Develop and manage a rolling programme of maintenance, repairs, redecoration, and site improvements.
Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and builders to ensure work is completed to required standards and within set timescales.
Ensure compliance with all statutory health and safety legislation and conduct regular inspections to adhere to the Trust’s Health and Safety policy.
Provide training on health and safety issues to premises staff and procure quotes for routine maintenance work.
Undertake routine maintenance work and general porterage duties, ensuring all activities comply with health and safety regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in facilities management or a similar role within an educational or similar setting.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and statutory compliance requirements.
Proven ability to manage and supervise a team, with excellent organisational and communication skills.
Capability to perform physical tasks and handle emergency situations efficiently.
Experience in liaising with external contractors and managing maintenance schedules.
