Senior Underwriting Performance Analyst

Annual Salary: Up to £75,000 Location: London Job Type: Full-time hybrid working Bonus: Up to 20% I am working with and expanding client who are seeking a Senior Underwriting Performance Analyst to join their team. This role is crucial for monitoring and analysing underwriting performance across our managed client portfolio within the Lloyd’s market. The successful candidate will support effective portfolio oversight, business planning, and regulatory reporting, delivering clear analytical insights and identifying performance trends and risks. Day-to-day of the role: Support the Underwriting Performance Manager by providing analytical insights, monitoring performance against key indicators, and coordinating planning submissions. Perform comprehensive analyses of underwriting performance, evaluating variances from planned results, and identifying significant trends, potential risks, and opportunities. Act as a day-to-day point of contact for operational and analytical requests from clients and Lloyd's. Prepare materials and provide background analysis for meetings. Prepare monitoring packs, dashboards, and data insights for portfolio oversight. Collaborate with MI & Analytics to improve reporting quality and automation. Produce regulatory underwriting returns for Lloyd’s, ensuring data integrity and timely submission. Participate in meetings, assume responsibilities for the Underwriting Performance Manager when necessary, and contribute to internal projects and working groups. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Insurance, ideally in underwriting, actuarial, finance, or related fields. Strong understanding of Lloyd’s syndicate operations and the Lloyd’s market. Excellent numerical skills and the ability to deliver precise work within strict deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage and present effectively to senior management, clients, and regulatory authorities. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and deliver results under pressure. IT literate; proficient in Excel and capable of quickly learning new systems.
