About the role
Reed is currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a well-established and growing business in County Durham.
This is a great opportunity to join a busy, supportive finance team, with the role available due to internal promotion — offering genuine progression potential.
You’ll play a key role in supporting the Purchase Ledger function, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time, while helping keep day-to-day finance operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities
Processing high volumes of invoices (matching, coding, posting)
Resolving invoice queries with suppliers and internal teams
Supporting intercompany transactions and reconciliations
Maintaining records across multiple sites
Processing employee expenses
Assisting with general finance duties as needed
About you
Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant / finance role
Strong attention to detail and high accuracy
Confident using Excel and finance systems
Able to manage workload and meet deadlines
Proactive and a good communicator
