This role is crucial for managing working capital, supporting Partners and lawyers to minimise debt, WIP, and exposure. Day-to-day of the role: Lead regular review meetings with Partners and lawyers to discuss Debt, WIP, and client/matter balance issues, taking ownership of complex matters within your assigned areas. Maintain oversight of data recorded on the Collections system for assigned clients and team portfolios, ensuring timely and accurate updates for effective tracking of outstanding invoices. Work with the team to recommend and implement processes to ensure payments are received in line with agreed terms. Negotiate with clients to agree on payment plans and liaise with the debt recovery team for legal action on unpaid bills as necessary. Oversee the monthly billing and cash collection cycle, ensuring client-specific billing requirements are met and bills are submitted on time.
