This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of commercial insurance and a strong background in claims handling, particularly within a brokerage environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage the end-to-end claims process, including larger, more sophisticated, or contentious claims.
  • Provide assistance and advice on large or complex transit losses and investigate case law/relevant facts to aid satisfactory settlement.
  • Utilise extensive knowledge of insurance policies and coverage types to accurately assess and adjudicate claims.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments and external vendors to ensure timely and efficient resolution of claims.
  • Analyse claims data to identify trends, develop risk mitigation strategies, and improve overall claims management processes.
  • Prepare and present reports highlighting key performance indicators.
  • Visit clients in the event of a loss to investigate circumstances and build robust claims for swift resolutions.
  • Negotiate with insurers to obtain the best possible settlement terms.
