Role Overview
The Senior Bookkeeper will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of financial and bookkeeping activities. The role requires a high level of accuracy, professionalism, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records using double-entry bookkeeping
Manage sales and purchase ledgers
Prepare and submit VAT returns
Monitor bank accounts and track cash flow
Process and manage payroll
Prepare monthly management accounts including profit & loss and balance sheet reports
Oversee credit control processes
Communicate professionally with internal teams and external stakeholders
Carry out general administrative and finance-related tasks as required
Candidate Requirements
Minimum AAT Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
At least 3 years of practical bookkeeping experience
Experience with accounting software (ideally Intact Xline)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment
