We are seeking a Sales Operations Specialist to play a central role within our sales team, supporting Senior Account Managers and managing both pre- and post-order technical queries. This role is crucial for enhancing efficiency, ensuring smooth project progression, and allowing Senior Account Managers to focus on client relationships and business development.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
Provide daily pre- and post-order support to Senior Account Managers, managing drawing submissions, design approvals, variation requests, and cost uplifts.
Oversee the full design review cycle, including submission, amendments, and customer approvals.
Handle technical and commercial queries on behalf of Senior Account Managers and remain contactable by phone to triage urgent issues when Senior AMs are off-site.
Coordinate between clients, design, and operations teams to resolve issues quickly and maintain clear and accurate communication with clients throughout the process.
Own the specification review stage within the enquiry-to-quote process for Senior AM accounts, supporting Account Managers where required.
Manage technical queries from national developers, regional offices, and manufacturers while maintaining Senior AM ownership of commercial discussions.
Provide consistent technical and commercial support across the team, ensuring no queries default to Senior Account Managers due to lack of cover.
Collaborate with the Project Coordinator to improve workflows and develop more efficient, scalable ways of working.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong communication skills (internal and client-facing).
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Commercial awareness and understanding of system trade-offs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to CRM systems.
Experience in technical support, sales coordination, or specification roles (construction/building services) is desirable.
Knowledge of underfloor heating systems/products is a plus.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
