Reed Business Support in Bath is looking for a Sales Merchandiser for a highly successful and growing brand with offices in the South West.
This is a permanent role
£28,000 - £32,000 + bonus & benefits:
4% pension contribution, 4 x’s death in service, access to the staff shop, 33 days holiday (inc bank holidays)
The purpose of this role is to conduct consumer sampling activity within Off-Trade accounts, building brand awareness and driving sales through engaging, high-quality customer interactions. The role will also support ad hoc consumer events and trade shows.
This position is ideal for an energetic, relationship-driven individual with a passion for a quality brand and a desire to help grow a brand nationwide.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Relationship Building
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Off-Trade store managers
- Secure in-store sampling opportunities within retail locations
- Proactively book and manage regular sampling sessions within supermarkets
Product Promotion & Brand Activation
- Deliver engaging product sampling experiences to consumers
- Educate customers on the unique qualities and benefits of the cider range
- Organise and execute tasting events and promotional activities to increase brand awareness and trial
- Represent the brand professionally at all times, including at trade shows and consumer events
Territory Management
- Manage a nationwide schedule of store visits, sampling events, and activations
- Plan routes and diary efficiently to maximise coverage and productivity
Reporting
- Provide regular feedback and reports on:
- Sampling activity and outcomes
- Customer and retailer feedback
- Market insights and opportunities
- Track and report against KPIs and productivity metrics
Experience
- Previous field sales, brand ambassador, or consumer-facing promotional experience
- Proven ability to quickly build relationships in B2B and/or B2C environments
- Experience working independently and managing a territory
- Background in FMCG, drinks, food, or hospitality is advantageous but not essential
