Overall Purpose of the Role

To lead the Manufacturing departments in the development and continuous improvement of manufacturing, quality, and safety processes, driving operational excellence across the business.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead improvement projects aimed at reducing product variability through process standardisation and robust procedural control.
  • Support manufacturing departments with the implementation and embedding of improved processes.
  • Develop, maintain, and evaluate key manufacturing metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Apply continuous improvement principles across the business, working closely with production teams to identify, develop, and implement change initiatives.
  • Conduct advanced troubleshooting and train others to identify areas of non‑compliance within systems and processes.
  • Lead continuous improvement programmes to enhance quality capability and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the introduction of new products from design stage through to full manufacturing implementation.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills Required

  • Proven industrial experience delivering solutions within a manufacturing environment.
  • Practical working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of ISO and BSI systems and associated processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and successfully implement continuous improvement plans.
