The Opportunity

We are working with a well-established and supportive GP surgery in Surrey looking to recruit an experienced First Contact Practitioner (FCP) Physiotherapist to join their multidisciplinary team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the forefront of primary care, providing expert musculoskeletal assessment and management to patients at the first point of contact.

Key Details

  • Sessions: 3 sessions per week
  • Working days: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
  • Typical working pattern: Afternoon sessions (flexible)
  • Extended Access: Wednesday evening cover until 8pm
  • Contract type: Open to both locum and permanent applications

The Role

As an FCP Physiotherapist, you will:

  • Act as the first point of contact for patients presenting with MSK conditions
  • Provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans
  • Refer patients appropriately for investigations or specialist services
  • Support reduction of GP workload by managing MSK caseload independently
  • Work collaboratively with GPs and the wider clinical team

Requirements

  • HCPC-registered Physiotherapist
  • MSc-level training or equivalent experience in MSK practice
  • Experience working as an FCP or in an advanced MSK role
  • Strong clinical reasoning and autonomous decision-making skills
