The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established and supportive GP surgery in Surrey looking to recruit an experienced First Contact Practitioner (FCP) Physiotherapist to join their multidisciplinary team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the forefront of primary care, providing expert musculoskeletal assessment and management to patients at the first point of contact.
Key Details
Sessions: 3 sessions per week
Working days: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Typical working pattern: Afternoon sessions (flexible)
Extended Access: Wednesday evening cover until 8pm
Contract type: Open to both locum and permanent applications
The Role
As an FCP Physiotherapist, you will:
Act as the first point of contact for patients presenting with MSK conditions
Provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans
Refer patients appropriately for investigations or specialist services
Support reduction of GP workload by managing MSK caseload independently
Work collaboratively with GPs and the wider clinical team
Requirements
HCPC-registered Physiotherapist
MSc-level training or equivalent experience in MSK practice
Experience working as an FCP or in an advanced MSK role
Strong clinical reasoning and autonomous decision-making skills
