Reed Education are seeking a compassionate and patient Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in Plymouth.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support a child who has been out of education for some time and is currently working at a nursery level. The role focuses on helping the pupil to re-engage with learning in a safe, structured and supportive environment.
The Role:
Providing dedicated 1:1 support during afternoon sessions
Supporting engagement through play-based and early years learning activities
Helping to build trust, routine and confidence in an educational setting
Adapting activities to meet the pupil’s individual needs and developmental stage
Working closely with school staff to support reintegration into education
Encouraging communication, social interaction and emotional development
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working within EYFS or with children with additional needs
Be nurturing, patient and resilient
Be confident supporting children working below age-related expectations
Have a good understanding of early development and play-based learning
Be able to build strong and trusting relationships
Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
