Operations Manager

Join our specialist training institute dedicated to professional development in counselling and psychotherapy. We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Operations Manager to ensure smooth operations within our values-led organisation. This role is central to supporting our community and facilitating our growth and development.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Student & Academic Administration: Manage enquiries, applications, and maintain accurate student records. Coordinate with professional bodies and provide administrative support to tutors.
  • Operations & Facilities: Oversee building operations including maintenance, safety, and utilities. Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
  • Finance Administration: Assist with invoicing, processing payments, and maintaining financial records.
  • Communications & Community: Serve as the first point of contact for enquiries, update the organisation’s website, and help maintain a professional community environment.
  • Company Administration: Coordinate staff schedules, prepare student documentation, and assist with administrative tasks.
  • Governance & Meetings: Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and support annual review processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in operations, office management, or administration.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including availability for occasional Saturdays.
  • Ability to commute daily to the workplace.

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting senior leaders or familiarity with finance systems.
  • Skills in updating websites or using CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of design or document tools like Canva.
