We are seeking an experienced, caring, and dynamic Nursery Manager to lead our supportive early years team. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that promotes outstanding early development and learning for all children.
Day-to-day of the role:
Lead and manage the nursery team, providing guidance, support, and supervision to staff.
Ensure high-quality learning and development for children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Plan, implement, and oversee engaging and stimulating activities that support children’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals to support each child’s individual needs.
Monitor, observe, and evaluate children’s progress, ensuring accurate records are kept.
Manage staff performance, recruitment, and ongoing professional development.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and Ofsted requirements at all times.
Oversee administrative duties, including budgeting, staffing levels, and nursery operations.
Promote positive behaviour and support children’s social and emotional well-being.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience working within a nursery or early years setting, including leadership or management experience.
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and Ofsted standards.
Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
A caring, patient, and nurturing approach to working with young children.
